Chromebook Return Information

CHROMEBOOK DROP OFF AND PERSONAL ITEMS/MATERIAL COLLECTION 

June 2020 

 

Chromebook and material collection is scheduled for Monday, June 8th and Tuesday, June 9th  

 

With the end of the school year nearly here we are preparing to collect school materials including any loaned Chromebook devices, wireless hotspots, textbooks, library books, classroom books or other school materials that students may have at home. 

 

Families will be invited by the following schedule to return materials as well as collect any personal items that may still be remaining on campus:  

 

Monday, June 8th from 8:30-11:30     L ast names beginning with A through E 

Monday, June 8th from 12:30-3:30     Last names beginning  with F through K  

Tuesday, June 9th from 8:30-11:30     Last names beginning with L through S  

Tuesday, June 9th from 12:30-3:30    Last names beginning with T through Z 

 

If your student has been confirmed to attend a summer school program in the district, they do not need to return Chromebook or hotspot devices. All other students will need to turn their devices in.  

 

While on campus, everyone will be asked to maintain social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

We ask that you stay in your car and pull around the parking lot and follow the signs. There will be sign to let you know where to stop for the chromebook drop off/hot spot drop off. Please put a sign in your passenger side window with your students first name, last name and grade level.  School volunteers will come to your car and pick up your chromebook/hot spot.. Then you will drive in your car to your corresponding grade level table that has the students’ materials. (in front of Kindergarten) At that time a school volunteer will bring any personal items/materials to your car. The school volunteer can put the bag of items in your trunk or they can bring the bag to you.  The use of masks is highly encouraged.  

Yearbooks will more than likely not arrive in time for distribution at the chrome book drop off days.  When the yearbooks do come in, we will call families and arrange for you to pick them up. If you want a yearbook but have not purchased one, please email tpotter@sanjuan.edu.  

School site and district staff are working together to review input from families, students and community members, along with the recommendations and requirements of health officials to determine what next school year will look like. Based upon this feedback we hope to provide a variety of learning options to meet the needs of all of our families and will reissue devices in the next school year as needed.
