Board Briefs: March 31, 2023

Here are a few highlights from the March 31 special board meeting (the full agenda packet is available):

Board Member Saul Hernandez elected to serve as board clerk

The board of education elected Board Member Saul Hernandez to serve as board clerk for the remainder of 2023.

Board calls for a special election to fill the area 7 trustee vacancy

The board selected the special election process for filling the area 7 trustee vacancy. The election will be administered by the Sacramento County Elections Office at an estimated cost of $154,842. The seat will remain vacant until the special election results are final and the elected board member would complete the existing term which runs through November of 2026.
