Deadline extended: Race for the STARS calls on student artists to design 2019 T-shirt

Race logo DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, FEB. 15

The San Juan Education Foundation is offering student artists a $100 prize to design the Race for the STARS 2019 T-shirt. Additionally, the winning student’s class will also win $500 in art supplies.

The annual 5K run/walk will be held at Rio Americano High School on Sunday, April 7. Every year, the foundation designs a one-of-a-kind race shirt for those that register.

Last year, Mira Loma High School student David Aoodtama Nguyen was the winning graphic artist who met the foundation’s rigid standards for the digital design, with an eye-catching piece featuring a faceless runner “splashing” a yellow star around the text Race for the STARS.
