Photo of one students project notes From guitars to fast cars and everything in between, Meraki High School, formerly known as UnSchool, was buzzing with excitement last month as students presented their unique projects during the school’s Exhibition Night. The school’s name was recently changed to Meraki, which means to do something with soul, creativity and love.

“It is a great evening for students to end their year with a public display of learning,” said Glenda Cox, an advisor at Meraki High School.

Parents, teachers, staff and incoming students were invited to enjoy live music and take part in interactive presentations, including wedding cake sampling. This year’s project presentations ranged from fashion design to music composition.

Meraki High School will be open to ninth through 12th grade students next school year.
