Annual Evening with the Stars set for Oct. 1

The San Juan Education Foundation will host their 13th annual An Evening with the STARS event on Friday, Oct. 1 from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. via a virtual platform. 

Award-winning journalist Beth Ruyak will mcee this year’s event, and interview the STARS Hall of Fame honorees. The STARS Hall of Fame was established in 2009 by the STARS Foundation, with the support of San Juan Unified, to honor exceptional San Juan Unified graduates who embody an innovative spirit and have made their mark in their chosen profession. 

This year’s honorees are:

  • Charles M. Rice, PH.D., winner of the 2020 Nobel Prize in medicine, Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Virology and Infectious Disease at Rockefeller University. 
  • Chip and Ken Gracey, founders and leaders of Parallax, Inc.
  • Ramit Sethi, New York Times bestselling author, finance advisor, and entrepreneur.
