Fair Oaks Sun Run benefits the San Juan Education Foundation

San Juan Unified students and staff members took to the streets of Fair Oaks earlier this month to participate in the annual Fair Oaks Sun Run, benefitting the San Juan Education Foundation (SJEF).

The race sold out earlier than ever with 1,331 registered, and more than 365 of the participants represented the San Juan Unified community in the day’s events, including the Chicken Chase Kids’ Fun Runs, the Chicken Run (5 Miles), and the Rooster Ramble Run/Walk (2 Miles).

Groups from all over the district participated in the morning’s festivities, and Cowan Fundamental Elementary student Nolan McCormick even placed first in the Chicken Chase 1/4 mile fun run!

Due to the overwhelming number of participants this year, SJEF exceeded its goal of raising $10,000 to benefit its programs. For more information on the SJEF, visit
