ESSER III Draft Expenditure Plans available for review

San Juan Unified is committed to ensuring the voices of students, staff, families and community members are lifted into the planning, implementation and evaluation of how education is delivered to our students.

San Juan Unified gathered meaningful community input to inform actions and expenditures using the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds under the American Rescue Plan Act (ESSER III) by conducting a ThoughtExchange through an online platform from Aug. 23 through Aug. 27, 2021 and by conducting listening sessions with several student, staff and community groups.

The ThoughtExchange and listening sessions focused on students, parents/guardians, staff members and the community, and explored ideas for improving and upgrading our facilities and other operations to support continuous and safe in-person learning while reducing and preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

San Juan Unified is offering members of the public the opportunity to submit public comments regarding the specific actions and expenditures proposed in our ESSER III Expenditure Plan.

Written comments may be submitted through Oct. 15 by submitting a Google form, emailing spackard@sanjuan.edu or in person at the District Office. The plan will be presented to the Board of Education for discussion on Tuesday, Oct. 12 and will go back to Board for action on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
