A Year at Encina

A YEAR AT ENCINA PREPARATORY HIGH SCHOOL

1,100 students. 21 languages. 56 teachers. Encina Preparatory (6-12) High School serves families who come from around the world and across the street. This year Capital Public Radio explores culture, resilience, challenges and change in suburban Sacramento.

CapRadio's year-long documentary series launches on Tuesday November 1 with three stories:

- a photo essay "How One Encina Learned English And Stopped Fighting” by Malak Habbak
- a video “A Leader Who’s Not Loud” by Andrew Nixon and Elizabeth Ramirez
- a radio feature “Encina’s Angel Network Supports College-bound Students” by Steve Milne

You can find these stories at http://www.capradio.org/encina
