Kids Helping Kids Sacramento’s annual gala to support families battling pediatric cancer

Kids Helping Kids flier represented in the story Del Campo High School’s student-run nonprofit, Kids Helping Kids, is getting ready to host their 8th annual signature gala on Jan. 9 at the Harris Center in Folsom. This year’s event features a concert with headlining artist Wilder Woods, lead singer of the band Needtobreathe and now pursuing his first solo album.  The event will also feature a live and silent auction.

This year’s benefit gala is unique compared to past years as the organization has turned its mission towards specifically helping children battling pediatric cancer through their recent partnership with Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance. They will also continue helping impoverished children globally.

Last year, Kids Helping Kids was able to fund over $88,000 to help others. This year’s goal is to collectively hit the $1 million mark for the organization, which means they must raise $225,000 this year alone. A hefty challenge, but this dedicated group of juniors and seniors continue to exceed their limits every year.
