Second annual Student Connect event set for Sept. 14

People visiting community booth The second annual Student Connect event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mesa Verde High School. This one-day, one-stop resources event is for the entire district community, providing services for students and families in transition or at risk of losing stable housing. The event is hosted by the Citrus Heights Homeless Assistance Resource Team, in partnership with San Juan Unified. 

Services provided include:

  • Housing resources and counseling
  • Clothing, haircuts and hygiene items
  • Medical, dental, vision and mental health professionals
  • School enrollment and supplies
  • Free meal applications
  • Applications for Cal Fresh and free bags of food
  • Free school or family photos and a student/family Back-to-School photo booth
  • Free pancake breakfast provided by Citrus Heights Rotary Club
  • Free lunch and free prize drawings
