Upcoming family education opportunities scheduled for this fall

Classroom San Juan Unified is hosting many family education classes and workshops this fall. Parents, guardians, community members and staff are welcome to participate. Classes are held at various locations in the district and cover a wide range of topics such as co-parenting, supporting difficult teenage behavior, early literacy and more.

There are current openings in the co-parenting class, which begins Sept. 16, and is held at the Creekside Adult Center, and the Parent Project class, which begins Sept. 10, and is held at Sylvan Middle School.

The goal of these family education classes is to empower and build skills for parents who want to learn how they can support their student's success. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents in the district and create a positive impact at home. Some of the classes even fulfill the requirements for court-mandated classes. The Family and Community Engagement team also offers childcare and translation services at the classes, if requested in advance.

For more information or to register for a class, please visit or contact the Family and Community Engagement office at (916) 971-7929.
