San Juan Unified School District will resume the process of transitioning to by-trustee area elections on July 1, after it was paused under a state executive order during the COVID-19 pandemic to protect public health and safety. During a special meeting on July 1, the district’s demographer will review the process and criteria used to develop trustee area maps and the board will hear public input.

The district’s demographer will generate maps after the July 1 special board meeting. The draft maps will be published no later than July 6 for public review and input.

The special board meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the district office, located at 3738 Walnut Avenue in Carmichael. Visit www.sanjuan.edu/boardmeeting for information on how to submit a public comment and for the meeting agenda.
