Ready to enroll your child in transitional kindergarten or kindergarten?

Students sitting on carpet San Juan Unified offers a nurturing environment for young learners to explore and grow. We have a variety of part-day and full-day options for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten. These flexible, research-based programs give your child the foundation needed for a successful future.

Transitional Kindergarten

Students will need to be 5 years old between Sept. 2, 2021 and Dec. 2, 2021 to qualify for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year.

In order to ensure the safety of the public, families, and employees, Transitional Kindergarten enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year will be conducted as a lottery. The Transitional Kindergarten lottery application process will be posted on the district’s Enrollment website (www.sanjuan.edu/TK) starting on Feb. 22, 2021 at 8 a.m. and will run through March 12, 2021 at 5 p.m.

On Feb. 22, both an online and printable application will be available at www.sanjuan.edu/TK. Applications will also be available at the San Juan Central Enrollment office, located at 3700 Garfield Ave. in Carmichael.

The lottery drawing results will be mailed to families the week of March 22, 2021.

Kindergarten
