March 18: Weekly COVID-19 Update

Sacramento County reached the red tier of the state’s COVID-19 risk assessment system this week triggering the district’s plans to offer students at all grade levels the option to return to in-person learning in a hybrid format on March 22! The state dashboard reports Sacramento County’s adjusted case rate as 8 per 100,000 residents down from 9.5 last week and marking week two of being under the threshold required under new metrics triggered when the state successfully delivered more than 2 million COVID-19 vaccinations to the most vulnerable communities.

School Start and End Times 

Families who will have students attending in-person can locate school start and end times at https://www.sanjuan.edu/Page/51487. Each school will provide families with copies of their specific bell schedules. 

Safety Information & Reminders

Families with email addresses on file were provided copies of the district’s safety protocols and other return documents on Tuesday. School sites will be distributing copies of these materials as well as school site-specific information to families as well.
