June 17: Weekly COVID-19 Update
The adjusted case rate for Sacramento County fell to 3.3 cases per 100,000 residents, while the testing positivity rate, adjusted for equity, remained stable at 3.6 percent. As of June 15, the state has retired the COVID-19 risk assessment system.
Quick update on COVID-19 safety protocols
The district's current face covering policy remains in effect for both students and staff on our campuses, both indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status. We are anticipating the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to align their K-12 school guidance with the new Cal/OSHA guidance expected today and anticipated new CDC guidance for schools in the coming weeks. Once new guidance is issued, staff will review carefully and share what changes can be made for both employees and students.
Last weekly COVID-19 update
Today’s weekly COVID-19 update will be the last in the series. We will continue to make announcements as needed when there are relevant updates to share around COVID-19 guidance and protocols affecting our schools.
