Hello Ralph Richardson Family!

It is with excitement and pride that I write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed administrator of the Ralph Richardson Center. It is my privilege and honor to join the Ralph Richardson community anticipating the upcoming year of learning and growing with its amazing students, parents, teachers, staff, and community members!

I have dedicated my life to serving students with disabilities and their families, especially those with significant disabilities. I have been a teacher at all grade levels, trained and supported teachers and related service personnel, been a principal, and developed numerous special education programs. Throughout my career, I have set high expectations for student learning by establishing a positive, safe, and supportive environment. Working together, I am positive that staff, parents, and community partners will continue Ralph Richardson Center’s efforts to ensure all students are valued and worthy of our best efforts.

With the last few weeks of summer waning, I have no doubt you are looking forward to a positive start of the new school year! Please know that as a parent and your child’s first teacher, you are integral and valued as partner educators.

All San Juan Unified School District schools and students are returning to in-person instruction this fall. We have been working hard all spring and summer to plan for a safe re-opening of Ralph Richardson Center and have implemented best practices to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19. You can find up-to-date information regarding COVID-19 at www.sanjuan.edu/covid19.

I would like to say a special thank you to all of the students, teachers, staff, and families that have offered such a warm welcome. I look forward to meeting all of the amazing students and families on August 12 beginning 8:45 am, the first day of school!

I am truly blessed to be appointed as the instructional leader of such an awesome school community!
